  15. Brace yourself for the incredible imbecility and pompousness of the hostess, and then you’re in for a real treat here! As mentioned by others, Winogrand is as brilliant in talking about photography as he was in taking pictures. And it’s a testimony to his character that he managed to deal with this woman for 30 minutes with such good humor… THANKS for posting this!!!

  16. He was simply brilliant in a very matter of fact way. She was just dense, to an irritating point.

  17. framing makes the composition. that’s all there is to it. a photographer sees it in an instant–any slower and it’s too late. the host can’t seem to get this most simple concept as she sticks to her pompous scripted questions. could she be any stiffer or more obtuse? he’s like charles bukowski, but behind a lens instead of a typewriter. thanks for sharing the vid.

  18. BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!
Garry is the Master of conversation….hahhaa
    Masterpiece, Masterphotographer,no question!!!!!!!

  19. That’s funny. I think you may be right. There wasn’t chemistry between them that’s for sure.

  20. Where did they get her from.

  21. Thanks for putting this up

  22. Very confident yet very modest in the same breath. Truly a master. If he proves anything, it’s that to make a successful picture, it takes 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration. Although, Winogrand would prob disagree with that statement. I think he put himself where he needed to be to get a good picture. That’s the 90% perspiration.

    Truly a Master.

  23. Diamondstein… is that possible?”

  24. Thank you so much for digitizing this series. I can’t wait to see them all. Cheers!

  25. I can’t imagine he could do that with a D3 and battery grip and 15 lenses.

  26. unfortunately. not a lot of people have an endless budget

    Post more videos Yuri!

  33. shouldnt black studio be better, like a black box ? you have a lot of white and wood that will effect reflections.

  34. Most of the people say “I wish I had a setup like that”, but personally I really wish to have enough ideas to use all of these for. Lights and cameras are only the tools, not the destination.

  35. @nickmooreimages, I guess it’s around 5000K actually

  36. nice studio BUT: are you actually satisfied? I mean you’re taking stock pictures which doesn’t need any creative capabilities. No one respects you for your photography. For comparison: When you want to earn the most of the money you have to found a fast food chain, when you want to go for quality you have to go for your own creative freedom and cook some unique meals in a tiny amount. quality instead of quantity is my personal motto 😉

  37. It seems Yuri shoots at 5600k and has his editors cool down the images while keeping the skin tones intact. I wish he would explain more in-depth how he does this.

i once wanted to sell 3 pictures but no stock website wanted to accept my photos… today i developed my own stock photography website and selling my stuff. :).. i dont have an awesome setup like the one in this video but i make $ anyway… not millions but enough.

  39. WOW this is soooo cool!

  40. oh ,your video is very good,I subbed it.

  41. Wow i dream about this everyday! Can I get more information of music which is playing at the start, the first…

  42. WOW That is something to strive for!

  43. This is like Heaven for Photographers. :D:D:D

  44. i think i hate you lmao *green* ahaha

  45. this is an amazing studio… I’ve read articles on your website talking about how sharpness is so important that you carefully choose your gear – so what would your gears be when you travel around? and do you shoot anything other than stock photography?

and on another note – what are the music tracks used?

  46. respect

  47. congratulations!

  48. Keep in mind that every bit of equipment you see, including all of his cameras and lenses, have been given to him in exchange for promo.

  49. You’re always welcome to swing by the office, but I can’t guarantee that I’ll be in. I travel a lot… We have a lot of visitors. and everyone at the office is very busy, so unfortunately I cannot offer you a personally guided 1 hour tour, but.. I’m sure that someone at the office will be able to find 5 minutes to give you a quick tour if you show up. 🙂

  50. I use both Pocket Wizard (old and new) and Profoto Trigger. Lately I’ve been using the last one a lot. 🙂
The lense hood is a Lee Filters Lense Hood. A really nerdy thing to use, but I really like playing around with filters.
